The London Eye Illusion

This is one of my oldest pictures and one of my favourites.
Canon EOS 500D with Canon 18-55mm lens at 55mm. 1/4 at f/5.6, ISO 3200.
When I took this picture earlier this year I sent it to Richard Gregory, the British psychologist famous for his work on visual perception, especially illusions. He thought it was delightful. Sadly, Prof. Gregory died in May this year.
